Instant Pot "Spaghetti"
This is the easiest spaghetti I've ever made. And the fastest. And I didn't have to strain it so it also required the fewest number of dishes.
- 1 pound ground meat
- 1 onion, diced
- 2-4 cloves garlic
- 1 bell pepper diced (optional)
- ½ carton mushrooms, cleaned and sliced (optional)
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp. dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 1 jar water
- 1 box short noodles like penne or rotini
- Turn pot on to saute.
- Brown ground beef.
- Drain grease, if there is any to drain, leaving just enough to saute your veggies.
- Add onion and any additional veggies saute until translucent.
- Add garlic and seasonings, saute until just fragrant, 1 or 2 minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup water and stir to deglaze the bottom of the pot.
- Arrange noodles on top of ground beef. Do not stir.
- Pour sauce and 1 jar water over noodles. Do not stir.
- Cook on high pressure for half the time of the box instructions plus one minute, my noodles took 3 minutes.
- Quick release pressure immediately once the timer goes off.
- Stir all ingredients together.
- Serve immediately with shredded mozzarella or grated parmesan.
