Pecan Pie
This is an unusual pecan pie recipe from an old church cookbook of my mom's. The ingredients are a little different, but everyone who has ever had it asks for the recipe.
- 1 box light brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. self rising cornmeal
- 4 whole eggs
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup canned milk or cream
Melt butter, beat eggs, add other ingredients and mix well. Pour into two unbaked 9 inch pie shells. Bake in preheated oven at 325 for 30-45 minutes or until firm in the center.
